Cycle to Oz audio update: Aidan and Paul reach Vietnam

Two young Irishmen, Aidan Murphy and Paul Quinn, are currently in the latter stages of an incredible seven-month, 15,000km cycle from Ireland to Australia to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society and the Alzeimer's Society.

The 25-year-olds have already raised almost €23,000 for the two charities which are close to their hearts - Aidan's mother died of breast cancer in 1992, while Paul's mother is a full-time carer to his grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer's.

In total, by the time they land in Australia (they're scheduled to complete their endurance test before the end of April), their journey will have taken them through 18 countries, including Turkey, Iran, Cambodia, Vietnam and Singapore.

They're currently in Vietnam, and they gave an update to Newstalk's Chris Donoghue on Newstalk Breakfast last Thursday (February 21st), which you can listen to below.
