Pfizer Ireland raises over €7000 hosting a virtual coffee morning
Pfizer Ireland recently hosted a very successful virtual coffee morning, raising over €7000 to support cancer patients during this very challenging time.
“We wanted to bring the fundraising online and create awareness around the Irish Cancer Society and our patients. We also wanted to bring people together, so for Digital Daffodil Day, colleagues and families all across the Pfizer sites in Ireland came together (at a safe distance!), baked some treats and had a virtual cuppa through video conferencing and donated to support the Irish Cancer Society.
People shared creative photos throughout the day of their coffee mornings which brought smiles to all our faces and made everyone feel connected at a very challenging time.
Organising the event was really simple and all sites in Ireland got behind it. The Irish Cancer Society also set up a justgiving donations page for us and we distributed this link across the sites. Using this page allowed everyone to see the positive impact our fundraising was having”. – Ursula Sheridan, Pfizer Ireland
“There was a great sense of joy from all the colleagues who participated, and a huge appreciation and willingness to support such a worthy a cause – very few of us have not been touched by cancer somewhere in our lives”. – Ruth Mongey, Pfizer Ireland
