Video: How we spend the money you raise

Daffodil Day takes place tomorrow (Friday, March 28th), with thousands of volunteers taking to the streets all over Ireland to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society's vital services.

Unlike other charities featured in the news over recent months, we are not a section 38 organisation. As an independent charity we are completely dependent on the goodwill of the public to raise more than 95% of our income. Without this support we could not continue to fund free nationwide information, support and care services, research and advocacy.

In this short video, the Irish Cancer Society's Head of Fundraising Mark Mellett and Financial Controller Niamh Ni Chonghaile outline how the Society spends the money raised on Daffodil Day and other fundraising efforts each year. (Click here for an infographic to accompany this video)
