Since 2011, the Irish Cancer society has provided training and funding to over 270 inspiring groups to take part in X-HALE. Learn more about X-HALE.
It’s been a blast so far and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the powerful messages young people have shared through your smoking prevention films and projects. You have shown us what the #TheXGeneration are made of.
We are thrilled to see young people driving the movement towards Ireland’s first smoke free generation.

2019
- Our 9th annual X-HALE Youth Awards took place on 3 July 2019 in the Helix Dublin.
- We had a record breaking 56 entries to the X-HALE Short Film Competition made by youth groups across 22 counties.

- Our annual X-HALE Youth Awards took place on 7 July 2016 in the Light House Cinema in Dublin.
- We had 34 inspiring entries from youth groups across Ireland to the X-HALE Short Film Competition and X-HALE Community Action Project, which received an impressive 30,000 views on our YouTube channel.

2013
- The X-HALE Youth Awards took place on 4 July 2013 in the Light House Cinema in Dublin. We had 38 fantastic entries from youth groups across Ireland to the X-HALE Short Film Competition, which received an amazing 51,000 views on YouTube! Congratulations to all involved!

2012
- The X-HALE Youth Awards took place on 30 October 2012 in the Light House Cinema in Dublin for the first time. We had 14 fantastic entries from youth groups across 7 counties to the X-HALE Short Film Competition.
