Summary of legislation and regulation compliance

The Society adheres to the highest standards of corporate governance and best practice across its work. As well as upholding legislative and regulatory requirements we adhere to a variety of voluntary codes and standards.

During 2020 a full review of the Society’s regulatory and legislative obligations was undertaken, including an assessment of the Society’s compliance with the Charites Governance Code. The Board are satisfied that the Society is compliant with the Charities Governance Code and Guidelines for Charitable Organisations on Fundraising from the Public.

In addition, the Society is compliant with relevant obligations under the Companies Act 2014 and the Charities Act 2009.

The Society prepares an annual report and financial statements in full compliance with the Charities SORP FRS102, and operates to the Charities Institute of Ireland Triple Locked Standard (Member).
