Hi,
Got Breast Cancer May 11, did 4 AC and 3 Taxol since. Didn't do 4 taxol due to side effects. Good News, on Breast Lump it went way down and chemo worked. Finished Chemo 6 weeks ago. Still suffering. Pain in feet peripheral neuropathy, pain in breast and under arm and stiff all over. Feel so weak and only get 4-5 sleep with sleeping tablet. Due surgery next Fri week and dreading it. Have people found chemo effects to last so long.

Hi Bear12
I had the last of my chemotherapy 18 Sept (4 x AC and 11 x Taxol; didn't have the last one due to slight neuropathy on my feet). Up until then, I was finding my sleep pattern getting worse by degrees but now I am sleeping like a baby again. Also might have something to do with my night-flushes calming down either due to the cooler weather kicking in or else the chemopause has stopped. Don't feel particularly week but it's only that your mentioned it that I figured my aches and pains are due to the chemotherapy - I thought it was that I had gotten a bit lazy in getting my exercise in!
Have you rang the Oncology Specialist nurse and discussed it with her? She might be able to suggest something to alleviate your symptoms?
As for the surgery; I'm sure with your experience of chemotherapy, that you are more nervous with surgery approaching... I hope your surgery goes well - from my own experience, the anticipation was worse that the event itself. The most important thing is to keep ahead of pain, so don't be afraid to use any pain-relief they give you.
You've been through a rough few months so you deserve for everything to go well from here on x
