clink clink penny has dropped!!!
Hi all
Well its only taken a year but the penny has dropped well the whole money jar actually!!!I HAD CANCER.Arrrrrgggh!!i finished herceptin last thursday and what a memorable one it was 6 attempts to get vein.Then woke up saturday with cystitus which is now full blown kidney infection.Thought id be sooo happy to be finished but its the strangest feeling.Dont take me wrong i am happy just dont know if im coming or going.I have follow up on monday i assume to check all is well and for the last two weeks or so ive had pain and dull ache in armpit on and off ,dont know if its head playing tricks,scars or the unmentionable!!(had this before diagnoses too)Just have to mention it on monday although i dont want too.This cancer crap is really head wrecking.

So sorry to hear you've had a rough end to the treatment. I have all that to look forward to yet. I have heard of the post-treatment blues and it all hitting you all of a sudden. And I've heard others say how perfectly normal that it. So don't beat yourself up about it too much.
I have been having pain in my armpit too and got it checked out last Wed when I was in for Herceptin. There was a long rigmaroll about it all and I won't bore you with the details but I did go for a mamm on Monday and it was absolutely fine. It's a bang of healing/scar tissue type stuff. My head was totally melted obviously, so it was a relief to get a bit of good news for a change on Monday. Have it checked as you said but I'd be very surprised if it turns out to be anything more than what I had. Doesn't help the paranoia though does it???

Got on grand on monday will have mamo but he reckons all ok.PHEW!!Unfortunately the mri machine beckons again though as im in bits with my back(had problems before all this!)It looks like the tamoxifen is causing it to weaken further.Ah well knew it would be too good to be true to have a month of not being in vincents at all.
Dee hope all goes well for no 3.Sarah thanks for reasurrance scar tissue issues too,but that i can manage.

God you poor thing as you say you finished Herceptin then you got kidney infection and they are so sore I had one too.
