Hi, I am sorry to read that you are starting chemotherapy on Tuesday. It is understandable that you are experiencing high levels of anxiety . This is a normal response to an abnormal situation. We have a nice talk by Dr Paul Dalton about anxiety in a time of Covid 19. Its posted on our web page .It has some helpful tips on managing worries.

Perhaps it would help to talk with one of us. Talking can help get some of the fears out in the open. Just give us a call and leave your number with the 18002007000 number and we will call you back to chat. We will help you through this difficult time.

Hi Darren,
I feel your pain, I’m just finished my chemo .
All chemo plans vary just to say mine was a 12 week treatment with one chemo every 3 weeks.
Advice is you will need plenty support in form of prepared meals for your freezer.
Be prepared to nap during day, I was very tired as did not sleep well during the night.
Read the literature that your support nurse gives you as it is very relevant. Not everybody has all the side affects. My one was mouth sores but once I knew how to manage them they were easier to manage.
It’s not easy but you will get through this.
