Hiya yes im on Tomoxifen,have another 2 years of it,goodness where does time go?

Yeah, indeed where does time go. I have my yearly mammogram in the middle of february and in a few mths it will be two years since I had my mastectomy. I'm on tamoxifen too and zoladex. Still have the hot flushes, some days more than others but they are bearable. Can I ask you, has bc become less important to you as time goes by. I have to say I still think about it most days which bothers me as I do want to get on with life and not think about it if you know what I mean. x

Hiya yes i do know what you mean and im being totally honest when i say that it does get easier as time goes as in cancer isnt a part of my everyday life now, there was a time when it was always in my head i thought that would always be the case but my frame of mind is about 99% the way it was before i was diagnosed i suppose i just learnt to deal with it and decided that it wasnt goin to control me,i see myself as a breast cancer survivor of course i have to be realistic i know there a chance it may return but theres also a chance that it may not but i deserve to live the life that i want and i will,i have been through so much already and have cried all my tears,life is so precious ,i had my annual mammogram last Mon and it does bring back memories but its best that i am checked ,its normal to think about the breast cancer i would think its such a big thing to happen to someone isnt it,but give urself time dont be hard on yourself and it will all fall into place,i found ARC house fantastic,take care xx
