Her2 positive
Hi everyone, just started the journey, I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago , I have had my lumpectomy, good margins and nodes look ok , about to start 6 months of chemo , very overwhelmed, if there are others in the same boat would like to keep in contact xx
Hi Hannahm thank you so much for your reply and the very best of luck with your treatment, I will be starting in January, not sure of specific treatment regime yet , just trying to prepare myself. All the very best of luck , please keep in touch xx
Hi dotgos, I have finished my treatment now. Her2+ lumpectomy, chemo every 3 weeks for 4 and half weeks. Radiation for 4 weeks. Im at the other end with an 'all clear' and feeling traumatised. For me it was a shocking roller coaster ride that has just dumped me out in a heap. I'm a mess, but alive, still spinning from it so my advice is fasten your seatbelt, hang onto emotional support, get spiritual (ask them to come help you) and come to know just how strong you really are
Hi JAnuary 222, that’s great news that you are on the other side , well done, sounds like a tough journey.
I am still waiting for an appointment for chemotherapy and feeling very nervous, terrified I will be nauseous and I’ll all the time.
The waiting is hard, and I am hoping my imagination is worse than the reality.
The very best of luck and thanks for the advice xx
Hi dotgos, I am also Her2+. I’ve had a mastectomy and will be starting chemo next week. I’m a bit nervous but am looking forward to having one cycle down so I know what to expect from then on.
