Nipple tattooing

Hi all,
I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer two years ago at the age of 21. I had the standard treatment including mastectomy and immediate reconstruction with an implant. I have been considering getting a nipple/ areola tattoo and I found a tattooist called Aisling mahon in Kildare. I was wondering has anyone else opted to get a nipple tattoo and if so, were they satisfied with the result?

Hi Tara, firstly sorry to hear of your breast cancer diagnosis at such a young age. Hope you are doing ok. I had breast cancer and reconstruction 15 years ago - I also had a nipple tattoo and had that done through the hospital I was attending (the Mater). There was a nurse who did it at the time (not sure if that is still the case but it would be worth looking into). I was very happy with the result - it took two or three attempts but the result was very good. Hope this helps.
