Had my meetin in st Luke's today for radiotherpy. Consultant has recommended 6 and half weeks.. Seems really long. Said something about a week and half booster sessions. I had a lumpectomy and auxiliary nodes clearance 4 weeks ago.

Hi, I had 28 sessions of radiotherapy which is about the same length. It is amazing how quick I got used to the routine of having it every day. I know in my area there is a local hospice service which runs a volunteer driver service to help with transport for people getting radiotherpay. A few people travelled together in a volunteer driver's car. Hope all goes well.

I had 28 full breast and five booster. Finished in may. I got used to going and I actually missed the nurses when I finished. Time passes. I'm 3 months out of radiotherapy and 8 months out of chemo and a year since I started. As I say time passes

Book your holiday for when its over, something to look forward to. Another thing it takes less than a minute. Some days I was in for 10am and in the car on the way home at 10.15am. Honestly I feel it's a walk in the park compared to chemo. I got very attached to the nurses but en its a highly emotional time xx
