Breast Cancer
Hi there, im a lung cancer survivor (2018) and a week ago i found a tiny pea size lump on my left breast....My doctor has reassured me she thinks it might be a cyst....but has referred me to the breast clinic for a follow up checkup Can i ask what happens at this check up please?

Hi there. I’m recently diagnosed with breast cancer and when I went for my initial appointment I was sent straight for mammogram and then onto ultrasound where they also did the biopsy. It was after all the tests were done that I met the Doctor. I asked them right out of it was cancer and unfortunately I had nobody with me so bring someone for support if they will allow it due to covid restrictions. Please try not worry and I hope that it’s nothing other than a cyst. I will keep you in my thoughts. xx

That is exactly what happened when i went out to breast clinic last week They have confirmed a cyst but found another lump so waiting on biopsy results Could not tell me there as unsure........Waiting/unknown is the hardest ......but i have an appointment date so its coming and i will take it from there Thanks again.x

You are welcome. Everything is going grand. I had an op at the end of March and had my lump removed and two lymph nodes removed. Unfortunately there was some cancer left in one of the lymph nodes so I had to have another CT Scan to make sure it hadn’t spread. I got the results back quickly and it hadn’t spread thank goodness. My oncologist has put me on a course of chemo tablets as a preventative measure and I am also starting radiotherapy on Wednesday. I’ll be having 20 sessions of Radiotherapy which will take about a month. I’ll more than likely be on the tablets for six months.
Good luck with your results next week. Hopefully they will be ok.

Hi, when I found a lump my doctor referred me to the Breast Clinic. When I saw the doctor at the Breast Clinic he examined my Breast and asked me a few questions. He then said he was going to send me for a mammogram, scan and a biopsy.
