I heard Vicky Phelan say that silicone dialators are now available rather than the hard plastic ones that I received during my radiation treatment. How would I go about getting them?
Yes it is possible to get dilators covered in soft silicone and we would suggest you ask your pharmacist to order these for you. If they don’t have them the pharmacy that specialises in medical supplies, nearest to you should be able to get them. You could also ring your gynae liaison nurse where you had your radiotherapy.
If you would like to discuss this further you can phone our cancer Nurseline at 1800 200 700 Mon- Fri. 9-5pm
