Hi indigoalice
Sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast over two years ago and had chemo, surgery and radiotherapy. My cancer is both in my left breast and my lymph nodes.
I had eight cycles of chemo, 4 of AC and 4 of Taxol and I also had further chemo in tablet form this time after my operation as there was some cancer left in one of my lymph nodes.
I didn't have too many side effects with chemo and those I did have were manageable. Just bear in mind that everyone reacts to chemo differently. I did have a couple of bumps along the road but they weren't serious. I managed to get out for a walk most days. It's important to get out everyday if you can as exercise can help with the side effects. I rested when I needed to and I drank plenty of liquids which also helped with the side effects. I also made up a solution of warm water and salt everyday and rinsed my mouth out with it after every meal which helped prevent mouth sores. I also brushed my teeth with a soft toothbrush after every meal.
Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment.
Best wishes
