Many triple assessment clinics offer a streamlined experience where patients can see a surgeon

Have a

• breast examination
• scan - usually a breast x-ray (mammogram) or ultrasound
• biopsy - where a needle is inserted into the lump to remove some cells for testing

These tests are often done during the same visit however each clinic has their own operation model and appointment availability.   

You may be told the results on the same day. Biopsy results take longer - you should get them within a week or two.  It may be helpful to express your upset with the hospital administrator- who may not be aware of these practices.
