Audio: Dr Janice Walshe and Stephen Smith talk about male breast cancer

Dr Janice Walshe, Consultant Medical Oncologist at St. Vincent’s University Hospital and Tallaght Hospital, and Stephen Smith from Celbridge, joined Sean Moncrieff on Newstalk 106-108FM earlier this week to talk about male breast cancer.

Dr Walshe was a keynote speaker at the "Supporting People with Breast Cancer" Annual Patient Conference at Dublin Castle on Saturday, September 29th, 2012, while Stephen is a breast cancer survivor.

Breast cancer is often regarded as a disease that affects only women, but while it is uncommon among men, approximately 20-30 Irish men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. Download a male breast cancer factsheet here.
