Volunteer Your Skills

The Irish Cancer Society is grateful for all offers we receive to volunteer with us, however we understand that not everyone is able to commit to a volunteering role for a longer period of time. If you are looking for a ‘once off’ volunteering experience, or if you have any hidden talents or skills, the volunteering team is your first point of contact.

At times we may be looking for someone with specific skills for a project or event. This could be someone who can help us with graphic designs, a video/photographer or administration skills.

Please let us know if you would like to offer your knowledge or specific skills. We will make an assessment and place you on our records to be contacted when a suitable opportunity arises.

You will be initially contacted by the volunteering team if an opportunity arises that fits your skill set and interests. 

Once we have come to an agreement about your task and duties, you will be put in contact with a member of staff in the department you will be working with and who will be your main contact person for the duration of your volunteering experience. 

Our skilled volunteers carry out a variety of tasks that are central to the functioning of our teams.

Depending on the role/project, we are looking for someone who is able to work independently, yet also able to follow instructions and guidelines given by your contact person in the Irish Cancer Society. Depending on your assignment you may be asked to work from our offices, another location or from the comfort of your home.

We are not currently looking for any specific skills, but are always open to talk. Please check our other roles to see if one of our regular opportunities is also of interest to you.
