BT Charity Shop Challenge takes place tomorrow, Thursday 8th of October

BT, one of Ireland’s leading communications provider, has once again partnered with national cancer charity, the Irish Cancer Society, to run the third all-island ‘Great BT Charity Shops Challenge’ which this year takes place tomorrow, Thursday 8th October. 160 BT staff are taking part in the challenge that will see them helping to run six Irish Cancer Society shops across Ireland tomorrow and have some exciting things in store for anyone who visits the shops tomorrow from live music to magic, football jerseys to UFC tickets – don’t miss out head down to a shop tomorrow. The teams will also use their corporate skills to promote their shop, encourage shoppers to visit and ultimately to raise as much money as possible for the Irish Cancer Society.  The teams will be judged on how much they can increase overall sales in the shops and how much stock they gather. This year’s challenge aims to attract families looking to get all the essentials for Autumn/Winter – from a new coat, to boots or a bag - into the Irish Cancer Society shops. It will encourage them to visit and explore the vast array of stock on display suitable for all the family - from the perfect scarf to a new dress to getting ready for Christmas. The Irish Cancer Society shops participating in the challenge are:

  • Capel st, Dublin 1 – will entertain with live music all day.
  • Camden St, Dublin 2 – where Halloween will come early, a great opportunity to get your costume.
  • Dun Laoghaire. Co. Dublin – who have managed to secure a signed Dublin jersey for sale amongst other great items.
  • Drogheda, Co. Louth
  • Phibsboro, Dublin 7 – magician, Paul Furey (Really Grand Events), will be there to entertain with some magic at 2.30pm.  
  • Rathmines, Dublin 12 – will run an amazing competition offering VIP tickets to a UFC match in the 3 arena.
