Gillette announces Movember partnership

Gillette today announces a partnership with Movember in order to ‘change the face of men’s health’ by raising awareness and funds for the Irish Cancer Society’s Action Prostate Cancer Programme, which tirelessly supports the 1 in 8 Irishmen who are diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.

Marking the launch of the Gillette Movember partnership, the ‘Masters of Style’ portrait exhibition by Sean Jackson will to help raise funds for the charity.  In addition, throughout the month, Gillette will donate 30c from the sale of all stickered Gillette packs purchased in Ireland.

The ‘Masters of Style’ portrait exhibition commissioned from rising star, photographer Sean Jackson, features a series of 100 images capturing Dublin city’s distinguished collective of style makers, marking out an era where facial hair takes centre stage. All images displayed at the exhibition will be available in print format for purchase with all proceeds going directly to the Movember charity which funds critical research on prostate cancer in Ireland. The exhibition runs in the Gallery of Photography in Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd November, during gallery opening times.

Jared Regan Gillette Brand Manager said “Gillette is a brand synonymous with men and men’s lives and therefore a natural partner for Movember. Gillette is all about making a difference in men’s lives and we are delighted to partner with Movember, which is about real men, growing real moustaches and talking about real issues. We want to raise awareness of men’s health issues and drive participation for Movember’s cause, as well as make a big contribution to their fundraising efforts. Together with Movember and our Gillette consumers across Ireland, we’re going to change the face of men’s health, while keeping them looking their best, one Mo at a time!”

The Movember partnership and ‘Masters of Style’ Photography Exhibition coincides with the recent launch of the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler, the perfect tool for ‘Mo Bros’ this Movember. Gillette’s first 3-in-1 precision grooming tool combines Braun engineering and Gillette Fusion ProGlide® technology to allow men to sculpt their new style this Movember.

Movember’s founder, JC, comments: “Gillette speaks to millions of men every day so its support will not only ensure donations but also help to spread the word about prostate cancer. We hope that this partnership will encourage more men to join our cause this Movember and I would encourage participation at www.movember.com.”

RRP for the Fusion ProGlide Styler™ is €27.69 and €5.55 for the Fusion ProGlide Clear Shave Gel. All pricing is at the sole discretion of the retailer. Available now from all leading retailers nationwide.
