Join us for another Breast Cancer Q&A on Facebook

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so the Irish Cancer Society is welcoming questions for another live Facebook Q&A this afternoon (Wednesday).

The Irish Cancer Society broke new ground last month with its first live Facebook Q&A session, and the success of that venture has prompted a second foray into live social meeting correspondence today.

One of our specialist breast cancer nurses will be logged in on the Irish Cancer Society’s Facebook page from 2pm on Wednesday to participate in a live Q&A with our Facebook community.

The Irish Cancer Society Facebook page audience is just short of 50,000, with regular updates including links to our cancer information leaflets and publications, details about patient support services, ongoing research programmes funded by the Society, cancer awareness campaigns, advocacy campaigns, vital fundraising efforts from our dedicated volunteers all over Ireland and further afield.

During October we’ve been calling on the women of Ireland to do something to combat breast cancer through our Get the Girls campaign, which is kindly supported by Centra and aims to help reach the next groundbreaking breast cancer discovery by raising funds for vital breast cancer research in Ireland.

So if you have any questions for our specialist breast cancer nurse, make sure to visit the Irish Cancer Society Facebook page from 2pm on Wednesday. You can also head on over there right now and Like and Share today’s post to spread the word.

Further live Facebook Q&As are planned in the near future, with the focus on Movember next month prompting a Q&A on men's cancers including prostate and testicular cancer and a Q&A on lung cancer scheduled for the New Year.
