Meet Rosaleen, a cancer survivor holding a coffee morning this Daffodil Day
Rosaleen Finn will be hosting a coffee morning in Cork once again this year to raise funds on Daffodil Day.
Rosaleen has very personal reason for joining the fight against cancer – she sadly lost her mum and sister to cancer and she has also fought her own battle with breast cancer.
Her cancer diagnosis came as a shock to Rosaleen. She wasn’t feeling unwell but because of the history of cancer in her family, she was sent for an early mammogram and a tumour was discovered.
She used the Society’s Cancer Nurseline for support during her illness – a service which is funded fully by donations like those given on Daffodil Day.
It's ten years since her cancer diagnosis and Rosaleen is doing well and is determined to raise funds to support others affected by cancer. In fact – she’s been fundraising for the Society for three decades!
Thank you so much Rosaleen for the tremendous support you are giving to patients and their families across Ireland.
