Relay For Life Candle of Hope bag with message written on it

This year Relay For Life Wexford cancelled their physical event due to Covid-19 restrictions, but chairperson Gay Murphy and her amazing committee decided to build a virtual platform for the much-loved event.

The Relay for Life Wexford team were supported by the community, teams and local businesses across Wexford in their bid to bring the event online, and they managed to keep the Relay spirit alive over the last few months.

What resulted was a really special weekend of fundraising activities happening across Wexford, with the committee working hard to visit each one.

Amazing singers and entertainers captivated the live social media audience for the flagship virtual event and the lone table and Candle Of Hope ceremony was really emotional and inspiring.

Since 2016 Relay For Life Wexford has raised over €400,000 and has been a part of a national movement that has raised over €5million in support of people affected by cancer.

This year the committee and supporters in Wexford really showed the true power of Relay.
