The annual "Supporting Men with Prostate Cancer" Conference

The Irish Cancer Society hosted its annual "Supporting Men with Prostate Cancer" Conference at Croke Park last weekend. Here’s a short video from the day.

Around 145 people were in attendance for a series of talks from key personnel in the morning, followed by workshops covering specific topics in the afternoon.

The speakers on the day included Mr. Richard Power, Consultant Urologist and Transplant Surgeon at Beaumont Hospital, Mr. Frank Brennan from Men Against Cancer (MAC), Ms. Dee McKiernan, Counselling Psychologist at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Ms. Helen Forristal, Urology Nurse at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

For our video (below), we spoke with Olwyn Ryan, Patients Support Services Manager, Irish Cancer Society and John Dowling, Chairperson, Men Against Cancer (MAC), who was chairperson for the day.
