Ulster Bank Aims to Raise €500,000 for Charities in June

Ulster Bank partners with 14 charities and will match donations made this month!

This June, Ulster Bank is teaming up with the Irish Cancer Society which is 1 in 14 charities, across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, to raise much needed funding for great causes and the communities they support.

‘One Week in June’ is an initiative designed to encourage Ulster Bank  staff, customers and the general public to select a week, a day or even an hour, to give something back to their community or support an excellent cause. Ulster Bank will match donations with the aim of raising €500,000 for  the 14 selected charities.

Speaking at the launch, Jim Brown, CEO of Ulster Bank said: “Ulster Bank has worked closely with communities, across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, for many years. It’s really important to us that we show our support for the communities where we work and live through an initiative like One Week in June. Our aim is to reach €500,000 and we encourage as many people as possible to get involved to help us help our charity partners in June.”

Donations are being accepted in all Ulster Bank branches. Ulster Bank customers can also support the initiative by donating at any Ulster Bank ATM and online through Ulster Bank’s Anytime Banking service. Matched giving is subject to an overall limit of €18,000 per charity.
