The Butterfly Ball
The Butterfly Ball is considered one of the high profile events of the Mid-West area social calendar, with all money raised going to benefit the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation. The proceeds from the annual black tie event are used to enhance the Mid-Western Cancer Centre at UHL
By supporting this event the money raised by the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation is used to complement and cooperate with the HSE to assist with the regional Cancer Services in areas such as purchasing of equipment, funding research, and continuing education that is necessary to support our designated National Cancer Centre but along with that the Foundation also helps to create awareness of cancer in the Mid-West region.
The Mid-Western Cancer Foundation Limited is a local cancer charity. All donations are used in this region to enhance services for patients attending the Cancer Centre at the University Hospital Limerick and for research at the University of Limerick.
The Mid-Western Cancer Foundation Limited, confirm that the Chairman, all the Directors and all the Board Members of the Foundation are volunteers and do not receive any remuneration. The Foundation also wishes to assure all our donors and fund-raisers that no funds are used for ‘salary top-ups’.
