New Cancer Research Opportunity at International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) launched

The Irish Cancer Society is delighted to announce a postdoctoral fellowship in cancer research with the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), Lyon, France.

The IARC-Ireland Fellowship is an exciting opportunity for postdoctoral researchers who are Irish nationals and who wish to pursue a career in cancer research in projects with a focus on epidemiology. 

The fellowship is for a period of one year initially, with the possibility of an extension for an additional year subject to satisfactory appraisal. There is also a subsequent opportunity to apply for a “Return Grant” provided by the Irish Cancer Society to return to a position in Ireland with a salary for one year.

Candidates already working as a postdoctoral fellow at the agency during the six months preceding the application deadline or have already spent more than one year at IARC cannot be considered.

The fellowship must be taken up by 30 November 2012. Fellowship application forms and more detailed information are available from:
