Irish Cancer Society Summer Studentships 2025
Background
The Irish Cancer Society is now accepting applications for the Summer Studentships Awards 2025. The aim of the Summer Studentships is to offer excellent undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct a cancer research project and to work with researchers in high-quality research environments. This programme will help students gain essential research experience at an early stage in their career path.
In total, there are four summer studentship awards available. Students may apply to conduct either Translational Research or Survivorship Research. Applicants are only eligible to apply for one type of studentship award, which is determined based on their proposed field of research.
Virtual/desk-based projects will be eligible, once said project fits all other eligibility criteria.
Translational Research Summer Studentships:
The Irish Cancer Society Translational Research Summer Studentship 2025 programme offers undergraduate students the opportunity to undertake a translational cancer research project. This programme is open to students enrolled in an undergraduate degree who have an interest in carrying out a translational, biomedical, or clinical-based cancer research project.
The deadline for applications is 3.00pm, Thursday 13th February 2025.
Survivorship Research Summer Studentships:
The Irish Cancer Society Survivorship Summer Studentships 2025 programme offers undergraduate students the opportunity to undertake a cancer research project and to work with researchers in high-quality research environments. This programme is open to students enrolled in an undergraduate degree who have an interest in carrying out a social, nursing, allied health-based, or general survivorship-based cancer research project.
The deadline for applications is 3.00pm, Thursday 13th February 2025.
