A new report produced by the Global Lung Cancer Coalition (GLCC) has investigated the awareness of the symptoms of lung cancer in 21 countries worldwide.
Kathleen O'Meara, Head of Advocacy and Communications of the Irish Cancer Society, made the following opening statement to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health and Children Public Hearings on the Public Health (Standardised Packaging of Tobacco) Bill 2013.
The Irish Cancer Society has said that even in the face of rising cancer incidence, it is possible for everyone to reduce their cancer risk by adopting a healthy lifestyle and for cancer survivors to cut their risk of a recurrence.
