Karen Carey always had a notion of participating in the Moylagh JFK 50 Mile Challenge as she saw participants going by her house each year, but she could never have expected that a cancer diagnosis of her own would provide the opportunity and the motivation to do it herself.
“Lots of us men feel uncomfortable getting checked, especially with things like our prostate, but it’s so important. So what, if it keeps you alive, who cares? There is no shame in it.”
