When a person is diagnosed with cancer a journey begins to fight the disease at a medical level, requiring various treatments and interventions such as, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, x-rays, scans and frequent consultations with their Oncologist and Medical Team.
Cara Iorrais is a Voluntary Organisation based in Belmullet which offers practical and emotional support, understanding and empathy for men and women who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families.

The Roscommon Cancer Support Centre is located at Vita House Abbey Street Roscommon. It was established in June 2013 and is affiliated to the Irish Cancer Society.
The Society remains committed to offering grants to people affected by cancer. Grant amounts are determined individually with each affiliated organisation.
