National Volunteering Week takes place from May 12th-18th, and we are marking the occasion by extending a huge thank you to the thousands of volunteers nationwide who have donated their time to support the Society and help cancer patients.
The Irish Cancer Society is deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Professor John Fitzpatrick. Professor Fitzpatrick was Head of Research at the Irish Cancer Society, the first to occupy the position which he took up in July 2011.
Registration is now open for the Moylagh JFK 50 Mile Challenge, which takes place for a third year in June to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society and LARCC.
The Irish Cancer Society is concerned that many cancer patients are suffering distress and financial hardship as a result of losing their discretionary medical cards or being refused discretionary medical cards.
