Due chemo tomorrow but have a sore throat
Am due to get my third chemo tomorrow. But yesterday evening got a sore throat and was cold. No temp . Do u think they will defo the chemo.
Anyone know if there is anything I can take. My sister recommended Manuka honey.

Superwhy, I would say they will more than likely do the chemo unless your blood counts are low. You probably have one of those change in temp sore throats that will hopefully come to nothing. Hopefully you have taken it easy for the day!

I'd say they will go ahead with the chemo as long as you don't have a temp. I woke up with a miserable cold on the morning of one of my chemos and my nose was dripping like a tap. I was sure it would be canceled but they said ok to go ahead once bloods were fine and no temp.
Good luck and hope you get over the sore throat soon. Enough just getting over the chemo!

One of the oncology nurses told me of drink while on chemo if I felt something coming on which I took.it was great and I never got any infections even though my son had an infection for my first 3 rounds!!!
Half a cup of orange juice,squeeze of lemon,spoonful of Manila honey 10+,grated fresh ginger(optional)and then fill cup with hot water just before boil.hope this works for you.i still take it.
