Hair growing back on Taxol?

Last reply: 29 July 2013 14:18

Hi All,

I had 4x sessions of AC and then went onto weekly taxol.... I've completed 4 out of 12 (more tomorrow!). My hair started to show signs of growing back just after the final AC and it's gotten stronger in the past 2 weeks....
My question is...

Is it here to stay? Will it fall out again before the end of taxol etc? I'm afraid to get excited at all!

Thoughts appreciated as always Image removed.

It should be here to stay bettersoon. Same happened to me on taxol. I had ditched the wigs and scarves by mid December.

Don't want to dampen your spirits but my eyelashes and eyebrows that managed to stay with AC fell out part way thru taxol but they returned within about 4 weeks so I was not long without them.

I felt so much more human on the taxol poison than the AC poison Image removed.

Thanks LindyLu,
Yep, don't want to expect too much myself, so was curious what happened to others! Been without headcoverings for weeks in this heat anyway! And absolutely taxol is much easier... Only thing it really effects is my sleep pattern, so long may it stay that way. The smell/taste of that AC will stay with me a long time... Eugh!
Onwards & upwards! Thanks for your words. X

HI Bettersoon

My hair is romping back with a mission I finished last chemo 14 March amd prob on second taxol I noticed a whisp or too coming back. I got my first haircut the other day Image removed. Its a bit mad looking I put loads of gel in in and find hairbands look cool to hide those little curls......

So I reckon its defo here to say. Unfortuantely I lost brows and eyelases prob on the 2nd Taxol of 4 but they are back too!

Best of luck xxx
