Tomoxifen

Last reply: 19 February 2021 15:33

Hello,
I am starting tomoxifen soon and would love to know other peoples experiences on it. I'm petrified to be honest as reading about some people's side effects online lately and they sound awful.
Thank you in advance.

Hi -I have been on tamoxifen for about 15 months (I was told I would need to take it for 10 years) I found it takes a couple of months to get used to it -the hardest part for me was hot flashes and fatigue these side effects will ease over time - I find it easier/better to take it in the morning so side effects do not disrupt my sleep pattern. I would say stick with it and remember this medication is helping to save your life - hope my advice will be of help to you

Thanks May-Marie. It's good to hear some real stories on this. It's just all so overwhelming for me and my head is going mad with thoughts about every aspect of my journey really. Here's hoping I get on as good as I can with tomoxifen.
Take care.
