Daffodil Day 2013, kindly supported by Dell, took place on Friday, March 22nd. Unfortunately, the atrocious weather in Ireland on the day seriously affected the Daffodil Day efforts, with fundraising down 50% on last year.
The total number of people waiting more than three months for a colonoscopy has fallen from by 2,060 over the past year, but the Irish Cancer Society is concerned by the classification of patients waiting for a colonoscopy as "urgent" or "non-urgent".

Dundalk-based company Elave Skincare (manufactured by Ovelle Pharmaceuticals) has launched its partnership with the Irish Cancer Society’s Survivorship Programme for a second year. The launch, which took place at Ovelle’s headquarters on Coes Road in Dundalk this week, was hosted by special guest and local Dundalk girl Dearbhla Lennon.
